# XAML in WPF

[!INCLUDE[TLA#tla_xaml](../../../includes/tlasharptla-xaml-md.md)] is a markup language for declarative application programming. [!INCLUDE[TLA#tla_winclient](../../../includes/tlasharptla-winclient-md.md)] implements a XAML processor implementation and provides XAML language support. The [!INCLUDE[TLA2#tla_winclient](../../../includes/tla2sharptla-winclient-md.md)] types are implemented such that they can provide the required type backing for a XAML representation. In general, you can create the majority of your [!INCLUDE[TLA2#tla_winclient](../../../includes/tla2sharptla-winclient-md.md)] application UI in XAML markup.
